An Open Door is a feature-length documentary detailing the life and impact of animal rights and autism activist Temple Grandin. I was a co-producer on this project, which meant I helped run several of the interviews, shot many sequences featured in the movie, and was an active contributor in the editing room. Conceived and completed in eight months, it premiered November 7 and 9, 2023 at the Denver Film Festival. 

 

I had limited knowledge of Temple Grandin before this project, and am grateful to have had the chance to get to know such a unique and important woman. I also credit this project with getting me accustomed to professional-level shooting and editing expectations.
